Scooting off with a hand on her hip. "No one reported this. How are we supposed to get back? Much less, others..?"

A sigh and shake of his head. "We'll have to head all the way back, then find a different route "

It was an entire waste of time, but nothing else could be done

"Then I guess that's that" a head shake. "All the same we should investigate this and definitely send a report out"

Moving to his side, then past to gain a better look.

"Are you going to be okay..? I said I would have you home in less than an hour" His brows furrowed with worry.

"I'll be fine. I have you with me~" red eyes soften at his worried tone.

It was known that Chika was sickly. Her condition fluctuated. But considering they left a hard-fought battle already...

He'd trust her judgement for now. Pacing back and forth, his eyes narrow. "Looks like this has been blown apart" pointing to several scorch marks.

"Yeah...from this side here" glancing at him with a small frown.

His advent deck in his hand...just in case.

Nodding as they gazed around before a figure springs out the brush!

"Ren!" Drawing her spear to block as it pounced on her!

"Henshsin!" Flashing his deck toward the mirror on his motorcycle, his knight motif upon him as he charges with his lance

It hops up and attempts to send its tail against him as she scrambled to get up

Skids from the force. He brings his weapon up with a bash to break away and give space.

Providing him cover with sharp blades formed by the wind. The curve and cut into the beast as it opened its mouth to try to expell flames.

"That explains the scorch marks!"

He takes a moment to come in after her attacks to adjust his footing and give heavier slashes before stabbing the beast in the neck when it came to snap at him.

She would skid and stab her weapon into its eye as it stomps and tried to rear back. She rolls to avoid its heavy footing

He moved to grab her as it collapsed. Upon further inspection, it looked like it was in a fight prior.

He breaks his transformation with a pull on his deck. "What the hell is going on here?"

Grabbing on him to balance herself and shakes her head.

"Someone trying to cut off major trade ways to Leanbox? This is one of our main roads..." a slip of her arm around his shoulder as she felt dizzy.

He's scooping her up and jogging to his motorcycle.

"I knew this was going to happen!"

Firing it up once he has her secure in his lap and circles back the way they came.

"What else were we supposed to do? Just let it destroy more?!"

An eye roll and a huff. He sped through to take an even 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 trail to Leanbox. Which apparently everyone else was too thanks to what they had come upon.

"Dammit! Hold tight. We're nearly home"

A nod against him. "I'm fine. I was a bit winded..."

"Yeah right..." veering through traffic once there's room, they made it to the front gates of the Basilicom.

He hops off and carried her indoors without so much as a look at any guards.

"Oi! I saved you back there! You're welcome!" Arms rest on his shoulders, her head now turned to his chest to press there.

A smirk at her tone, planting a peck on her forehead.

Once in their living quarters, he lay her on the couch. "We'll have to visit Planeptune soon. You're nearly out of your medication"

Handing her a bottle, then moving to make them a quick meal of instant soba.

"Already..?" A sigh after taking the allotted dosage.

"You'll get to see your buddy again" a smirk. Before she sat up fully.

"I know Compa is very caring, but she must have the heart of a Saint to deal with that menace"

He'd hand her a steaming container with a chuckle.

"For someone like her to see more to him than that, that should say something. Although sometimes I wonder" a short shrug. "Not my problem though"

He'd dig into his soba bowl with a slurp

"You know, you give off a vibe not a lot of people like either. Granted it isn't that bad, but..." a faint smirk.

"Hey now, I've seen the polls. You're the most unfriendly Oracle in all the nations, so don't you give me any of that"

He had the upperhand with a more prominent grin.

"What?! That isn't true at all!" Throwing a chopstick at him and scowling

A hearty laugh. "You're feeling better" finishing up his meal before kicking his feet up. "Hey, we did good today"

"Of course we did! We always do" a slow nod with a deep blush.

He'd scoot closer to her, an arm around her now.

Resting against him with closed eyes and a sigh.

"Let's call it an evening" he'd murmur against her temple before placing a kiss.

"Sounds good to me. No complaints with that idea" a small laugh.

"I figured as much. Good" he smirks softly at her laugh.

Falling asleep against him, the day having worn her out.

Fixing her up in their bedroom, he'd make to wash dishes, a low news broadcast playing from the living room.

"Hmph...idiots" a very stony expression at the flashes of the basilicom in Planeptune that was in shambles and smoking. Then to the mini string of discovered bodies.

"Kitaoka, you're slacking there"

"Ren..!" Calling out to him eventually, slowly sitting up with a tired frown.

Turning at her voice, he'd hurry to their bedroom, entering with a concerned expression.

"Chika? What's wrong?"

A bit flustered. "Come to bed already...j-jeez"

"Seriously?" He couldn't fight a smirk.

Pulling his shirt off and slipping out of his pants.
"I thought something was wrong" Easing into bed with her, pressing to her with a kiss.

Chuckling once he pressed in close. A kiss to her cheek.

Snuggling down against with closed eyes. Bumping her body against his slightly.
