A sluggish rousal, head spinning as he struggled to sit up.
"Compa-" He jerks himself alert for a few seconds, remembering what transpired.
The proposal. One pretty damn heartfelt in his opinion...
Her eyes never meeting his. Not even focusing on the ring he- acquired.
Her voice...
𝙇𝙞𝙖𝙧.
He shot up to shaky legs with a growl. His foot knocking the empty syringe across the tile floor.
𝙇𝙞𝙖𝙧.
"Compa!" He knew she wasn't there. He saw her run before he hit the ground.
He stalks into the empty bedroom, eyes cast over the metallic trinkets and reflective clothing and belts.
𝙇𝙞𝙖𝙧.
Seething he picks a belt up, lashing it against the bed, the pictures along the nightstand, the walls...anything within reach. His screams filling the room and for the better part the small home.
Just what the hell happened this morning when she left? Who did she speak to that had her disillusioned with him? Her flinching as if he repulsed her. No more love for him in those crimson pools of her eyes...
The bedroom they once shared demolished in his blind rage. Something he had contained for years because of her...
𝙇𝙞𝙖𝙧.
His mirror beasts wail and tear around in the busted pieces of glass along the floor. Worked into a frenzy by their master. "FIND HER!" He'd scream at them, causing them to rear off and heed his request.
Huffing for air, he leaned against the doorframe before- 𝙎𝙡𝙖𝙢. 𝙎𝙡𝙖𝙢. 𝙎𝙡𝙖𝙢. His head meeting the now banged up frame. Blood pooling across his forehead. Takeshi would look up through the crimson staining his vision as though that would summon Compa back.
Until a knock on the door. There was no way. "Compa..." making his way to the door.
Except it wasn't that woman at the door. It was a patient of hers that was coming to get their medication from her because she was late in delivering it. They were taken back by the bloodied man with an eerie smile greeting them. What's a man to do? Refuse a guest? Compa wouldn't like that, would she?
𝙇𝙞𝙖𝙧.
He pulls them inside the home and begins to flay them with the belt, a long leg kicking the door shut. They try to run but he's faster and a hell of a lot stronger. Shoving them into the kitchen, he snatched the knife from earlier.
Any plea they uttered fell to nothing. He slashes at them wildly, cutting through skin, muscle, tendon as they brought their hands and arms up to block. Their shrieks matching his own yells and curses until they fall silent once the knife is lodged in their chest and they hit the ground.
𝙇𝙞𝙖𝙧. His shoulders rise and fall rapidly as his cold gaze looks from his newest victim to her communicator on the counter. He'd snatches it up with bloodied fingers and looks to the window and the lights of the basilicom.
A dangerous gamble
